TSB Mobile Deposit Details

The process is very simple and convenient. Once you have downloaded and installed the TSB Mobile Banking app on your compatible iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you can begin to deposit checks.

Below are some highlights about this new enhancement:


  • It's complimentary and available 24 hours a day 7 days a week
  • Easy to use – deposit a check in less than 2 minutes
  • It's safe and secure within TSB Mobile Banking
  • Funds are credited the same business day if submitted before 4:00 PM
  • Copies of deposited checks are available on your mobile device for 45 days for easy retrieval
  • A history of your deposits captured on your mobile device will be available for 90 days

Using TSB Mobile Deposit

  • Before logging into the Mobile Deposit app, close all other apps running in the background on your mobile phone.
  • Log onto TSB Mobile Banking and select the Deposits tab
  • Sign/Endorse the back of your check, and label it “For Deposit Only.”
  • When prompted for the amount, carefully enter the check amount to ensure it matches the amount written on your check.
  • Flatten folded or crumpled checks before taking your photos.
  • Keep the check within the view finder on the camera screen when capturing your photos. Try not to get too much of the areas surrounding the check.
  • Take the photos of your check in a well-lit area.
  • Place the check on solid dark background before taking the photo of it.
  • Keep your phone flat and steady above the check when taking your photos.
  • Hold the camera as square to the check as possible to reduce corner to corner skew.
  • Make sure that the entire check image is visible and in focus before submitting your deposit.
  • Be sure there are no shadows across the check.
  • Have all four corners visible.
  • Make sure check is not blurry.
  • Ensure the MICR line (numbers on the bottom of your check) is readable.
  • Scan back of check with endorsement to the right-hand side of the camera.
  • Make sure the back of the check is endorsed with your signature

TSB Mobile Banking Requirements

  • iPhone 4S, 5, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, 6S, 6S+, 7, 7 Plus, and SE models
  • Apple iOS version 8.0 or newer until July 1, 2018. After July 1, 2018, iOS 10 or higher will only be supported
    Note :The iPhone 3G is no longer supported on the newest version of Apple’s OS. Any current users that have already downloaded the APP on their phone will continue to be able to use it (and use Mobile Capture once activated), but no new users will be able to enroll for Mobiliti with an iPhone 3G.
  • Google Android models 
    Android (Kitkat) 4.4 or newer
    Cameras with 2.0+ Megapixel resolution and autofocus
    Either touch screen or keyboard phones
  • iPad 2, 3, 4, Air, Air 2, Mini, Mini 2, Mini 3, Mini 4, and Pro models
    Apple iOS version 8.0 or newer until July 1, 2018. After July 1, 2018, iOS 10 or higher will only be supported
    Cameras with 2.0+ Megapixel resolution and autofocus
    Note :The iPad 1 does not meet the minimum camera resolution requirements.
  • Amazon App for Android - As of June 12, 2017, existing users of the Amazon version of our TSB Mobile App will not be able to upgrade their application, and new users will not be able to download it from the Amazon store.  Our core provider made the decision following a review of Amazon's new app approval process and determined it does not meet their standards for issuing timely planned security updates. Note: Since browser access from the Kindle Fire HD 8 will remain supported, users will still have access to online banking from the device.
