Online Banking Services FAQs

Q: What are the systems requirements for Online Banking Services?
A: To use Online Banking Services, you need a computer with a modem and a web browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer® or an equivalent). You will be required to use a web browser which uses encryption technology. Firefox 3.0, Safari 3.0 or Microsoft’s Internet Explorer Version 5 are the minimum required versions. We suggest that you use the most recent version of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer in order to benefit from the strongest encryption technology available.

Q: What safety precautions should I take when conducting Online Banking?
A: Commit your password to memory. Do not keep it in writing or share it with others. It is a good idea to change your password regularly. Always sign off after your online transactions. Your browser also contains built-in security features that you should utilize.

Q: How much do the Online Banking Services cost?
A: Online Banking and Bill Payment are FREE for all customers.

Q: What accounts can I access with Online Banking Services?
A: The Service may be used to connect to the following types of accounts:

  • Checking Accounts
  • Money Market Accounts
  • Savings Accounts
  • Certificates of Deposit
  • Overdraft Lines of Credit
  • Consumer Loans
  • Mortgage and Home Equity Loans

Note: You may access up to 30 personal accounts online.

Q: I have both business accounts and personal accounts; can I transfer between them?
A: If your business has its own tax ID number, (TIN), then you cannot transfer between your business and personal accounts. Banking regulations prevent the Bank from allowing this type of transaction - - and your accountant would probably also frown on this type of transaction, even if we allowed it. You can, however, use online bill payment to solve this problem. As a person, you can pay your business; and your business can pay you as a person.

Q: What account information is available to me?
A: When you access your account, you may obtain an account balance and history information, available funds information, cleared transactions, and ATM and POS transactions for the current statement period. The available funds information may include any overdraft protection you may have.

Q: What is the availability of my account information?
A: With Online Banking you have access to your account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The account balance and history information is current. Loan balance and history information is as of the last business day.

Q: How far back can I review my account history:
A: Up to 60 days is available at enrollment which increases in increments of one month going forward up to a maximum of 12 months.

Q: Can I use Microsoft Money or Quicken with Online Banking?
A: Yes, you can download your account history to either of these applications.
